Mumbai Traffic Police

Mumbai traffic police was once considered to be the best in our country. There was traffic discipline in the city. Gradually it has deteriorated over the years. Traffic policeman's job is a specialized one and not every ones cup of tea. A traffic police force which was built into a disciplined and efficient lot so very painstakingly and meticulously by a handful of senior officers was destroyed by their successors who did away all the things which ere necessary to achieve specialization with one stroke of pen. The result is indisciplined an uncontrolled traffic situation and total lack of implementation. We are in the world of specialization and a few senior officers who are of "jack of all master of none" kind of thinking and who have refused to grow have spiled the traffic police drastically.
