I have time and again written about the condition of roads & footpaths (if any) in Wadala east. Shaikh Mistry Road in wadala east is in a pathetic condition with fractured road & patches. One has to search for road among these patches & potholes. Every now and then the road is dug up and haphazardly patched up. There is no footpath as such for pedestrians to walk on this stretch. As a honest tax payer I demand that the concerned authority immediately concretise this road before the monsoons as it will only worsen during monsoons. Also can the BMC wake up from their slumber and evict the hutments on the footpath of the wadala bridge and either beautify the footpath or station a security personnel so that they donot come back.
BMC be given --ve rating, if possible. Untill BMC officers become honest, it can not improve. Together with salary on 1st of every month, BMC officers sud b given penalties for bad roads and (bldg dept) illegal constructions. Why they dont demolish 5 storey hutment in Bandra or shops on footpath ? Coz they r paid for it.
BMC should make public list of contractors who have worked on specific roads to build accountability. All road works should be given to companies like L&T bcoz good companies have reputation and some guarantee on quality of work.
