There has to be some regulation for building entrances to align with pavements on the road outside. They create breaks and slopes making it impossible for people to walk on them. Building societies should be made responsible for pavement repair outside their premises. Constructions create a menace for the neighborhood with construction equipment and vehicular noise, dust, and heavy vehicles damaging the road.
Building construction in Mumbai I feel based on builder to builder. Top class builders do their job taking most of the precautions in sync with Municipal corporation. I think quality of construction can be best judged by expert working in Municipal offices as part of their profile. We may not be the expert who can challenge the quality however looking at construction site we can say 50-50. Document process in Municipal offices are so lengthy that builders won't able to complete the project on time. I do understand the various aspects in documents however somewhere they supposes to expedite so that purchaser can get their investment as soon as possible. I am one of the example who has been booked the flat in May 2013 and till now 8th floor slab is completed. Building is 16th floor however due to various documentation it got delay. It is SRA re-development project and SRA flats have been already handover last year but Municipal offices are not releasing CC for entire floor. They are giving CC in pieces. Their could be some legal or other issue but my concern here is let them expedite the process and close it as fast as possible.
