Though Road cleaning by Garbage cleaning workers are some what better, there is no supervision at all and cartman removing the garbage is at his whims and fancies. Many piles of garbages could be seen in front of many houses. Rubbish in many places remain un removed. Palm leaves are seldom removed. from house fronts. It is insisted that SUPERVISORS should come to each street for routine check up as well as surprise checks and giveinstructions to three l carnage removers with carts. SINCERETY IS VERY MUCH REQUIRED.

The cleanliness of the roads and streets in Chennai city is very bad and less said the better. We cannot claim smart Chennai with the exisitstig political set up. The Swatch Bharat movement started by Mr.Modi has not made any impact in the Tamilnadu and no body bothers to keep the city clean. The Corporation not bothered to supervise the Garbage cleaning Agencies, the Agencies not doing their job sincerely, no adequate Garbage vehicles, no adequate cleaning personals, no place allocated for accumulation of collectord Garbage's, people have no civic sence not to use plastic bags etc and also throw their garages on the streets, no attempt to segregate the garages, errection of Flex boards all over the roads, juctions, paper bills and wall poster pasted every ware etc. castles are roaming and lay dung most pleases,.Unless a sincere Govt., comes to rule this will not be changed.

While the garbage collection in our area is fairly satisfactory,I find that the method being adopted by the sanitary workers for garbage aggregation needs improvement.I find that the garbage trolleys are emptied onto the ground,from where they are transferred onto the bins manually using forks & shovels.This practice leaves the ground dirty & unclean as the method of transferring is not very efficient.Evidently,the workers are unable to lift the garbage trolleys & pour the garbage collected onto the garbage bins manually as the loaded trolleys are too heavy for lifting.

Some better method of transfer of garbage could be thought of & adopted.
