CHENNAI'S WATER AVAILABILITY FOR MAINTAINING PARKS....A LOT MORE MEDICINAL PLANTS CAN ALSO BE PLANTED, THE AIR ONE BREATHES CAN MAKE A WHOLE LOT OF DIFFERENCE!!
AND MOST PARKS TO HAVE 'SMOKING AREAS' WHERE SMOKERS CAN SMOKE AND NOT JUST ABOUT ANYWHERE!!!! OF COURSE FAR FETCHED DREAM AS FAR AS CHENNAI IS CONCERNED HEH!!!!
PLAYGROUNDS ARE ALSO IMPROVING BY THE DAY - HOPEFULLY THEY ARE HARMLESS GROUNDS WHERE MISCREANTS ARE KEPT AWAY FROM HATCHING TERRIBLE PLOTS!!

AND SOME MAJOR PLAYGROUNDS CAN ALSO HAVE COMMUNITY SPACES WHERE COMMUNITY YOGA AND AEROBICS AND OTHER SUCH HEALTH-ORIENTED THINGS CAN BE PRACTICED AND FURTHERED!

I am happy with the way new parks are being added. I have witnessed more than 3 of them being created or being used in a positive manner. I feel there is a very big improvement from the past.

In Bharathidasan colony main road in KK nagar and Nehru Avenuew, the park / playground has its wall completely destroyed by the cyclone Varadha and yet to be rectified. The place is becoming open for all illegal activities. There is no maintenance staff / guard. The play equipments are being stolen / lost.

Corporation has to do something quickly to address this issue before it becomes too late.

In Ramapuram atleast 3 parks & 3 play grounds needed.

I saw no park with proper green plantation in chennai, If there is a live tree in park that means it has grown so big that it need not be watered daily and became independent of daily maintenance, all other small plants are already dead and park looks like desert, Parks are meant to be green, they are not just a cement path for walkers and joggers, or a cement bench for love birds to sit or not just a child playground. Even half the child playing equipment are in a historical state or rusted too much being a septic allergy threat for children playing around.
