for roads that are used on such high density levels in the world, i guess the corpn. team of cleaners , especially the ones working in the night shifts are constantly at it!!

Worst! Just visit Navalur and take right in Thalambur road. You will see how pathetic it is! Lot of encroachment, no roads, etc. But all expensive houses are lined there and is a main connecting road for Siruseri IT park

very poor or no maintenance. roads are all encroached and no action taken by corporation or municipality to clear encroachment fearing vote bank politics! what is supposed to be a 100 ft road is merely 25 ft road leading to accidents, loss of life.

Adequate garbage collectors are not provided. People throw waste on road. Rubbish piles in front of many houses. some people keep rubbish in front of house . waste strewn over many places. People going on motorised vehicles throw waste on road. People pass urine near the electric distribution box.

The staff seem to be doing some work. However the effort to output is not matching. I have seen a similar problem in our Indian trains. The new trains and the effort on having persons to clean toilets and the floor on every train is very appreciable. However the end experience is not as pleasant as we would hope for.

I think there must be some policy to reduce the ratio of unpaved roads and areas near shops and main roads. There must be some form of pavement everywhere to make sure it is easier to maintain. Likewise the responsibility to keep the cleanliness should be set on the shop near to that pavement so that they do not have an reason to dirty it themselves.

Work culture had undergone lot of changes. People want to work less and enjoy more lisure. Government and their departments are relying more on contract labour. Removal of garbage and cleaning the public places was made menial job and people were disuaded from taking up such jobs. Now we want cleaner environment with no one seriously working.
