Bangalore City Junction (SBC)

Only one escalator,at the corner of 1st platform. No approach to escalator from platform 1. Most of the times it is not operating. Station is clean.Now a days almost all platforms in most of the railway stations are clean.

Considering being main rly station for metro like Bangalore station facilities are below average

as escalators installed .but busy timing ie 6am&after 10pm it will be not functing . the purpose of spending and optmally not useing is bad.most of lifts are not put to use.

At The back gate (okalipuram side), a new building has been constructed for issuing tickets and there is a toilet as well. Let us hope that the available space is not filled with eateries and other shops. There are automated machines for train and platform tickets. But, a smart card is needed to purchase these. Instead, they could have an option for credit/debit card or cash. There are two parking lots, one basement and other on the ground. The basement does not have a separate exit gate. This is dangerous. Vehicles are parked in and around the entry and exit gates of the station, causing a lot of inconveience. only 90 secs loading/unloading should be allowed. The same parking issue is there in the Majestic side as well. Minibuses could be run from the Okalipuram side to the Majestic, Mysore bus terminal, Yeshwantpur stations.
