Xiaomi- MI4I - Phone not Repaired after 60 days.

Open Letter to Xiaomi, India head Manu Kumar Jain

To,
Mr Manu Kumar Jain.
I am writing this to inform you about the poor after sales customer service your company is providing to the Customers. This was the only way I could get in contact with you.
I purchased MI4I in the month of august-2015, I was very satisfied with the phone but one day accidentally it fell down on the floor from my pocket when I was trying to take it out, I ended up with a broken display. I called your customer service over the phone they provided me the nearest Authorized service center located in Hyderabad named Sri Vinakaya Electronics, I went there and shown them my phone after having a look the customer service executive told me that the display is broken and will be of cost 4650/- Indian Rupees and 3 days for repair, that was on 21st Sep-2015, I agreed and gave 2800-/ as advance money. I contacted them after 3 days on 25th Sep-2015, the same person told me that after changing the display he realized that there was also issue in the motherboard of the phone and as it is in warranty he can replace the motherboard under warranty for free of cost but will take 20 days.
Till now my phone is not fixed, whenever I contacted the customer service center they tell me that it is not their fault and it’s the Xiaomi fault that it is not delivering the parts on time.
Job sheet Number: HDY/XM/15/01365.
What I did next: I contacted Xiaomi Customer service center over the phone million times and on the email address , I got reply on once from Sakhsi and then when I tried to get in contact with her through email there was no response from her after sending 10 e-Mails.
I have created threads on the MI4I Forum, there is got few replies from your employee Named Nisar, the reply was never satisfying
Questions to you: Is this the way you treat your customers , after setting up a company with make in India goal is this your company future plan for customers, I am not having phone from last 2 Months who should I hold responsible for the trouble I am facing, Can this be compensated.
Please don’t take easy on your customers, if your company continues with the same behavior there will be no time in your company’s fall.
If you are really true and dignified Leader in the company you should definitely take care of these things before entering the market. Will be looking forward for your reply, I will not leave this without a result; I am not easy going person like your company. I will try my best to make sure my fellow Indians are not ditched with a company like yours. more

Dear All concern, though many of our circle members and readers have expressed and sited so many examples of poor after sales service or NO SERVICE AT ALL, and STILL WE ALL HAVE TO PAY TE SERVICE TAX. WHY? WHO HAS TO ANSWER THIS? HAS ANY COURT HAS EVER GIVEN ANY DIRECTIVE OR ANY CONSUMER FORUMS EVER BOTHERED ABOUT IT? THE SIMPLE THING IS THE PEOPLE WHO GRANT PERMISSION FOR ANY SERVICE INDUSTRY OR MANUFACTURER MUST DEPOSIT SEVERAL MILLION RUPEES WITH THE CONSUMER FORUM AND ALL SUCH COMPLAINTS REGARDING ANY SUCH DEFAULTERS THE CUSTOMER SHOULD BE PAID BACK THE SERVICE TAX RECOVERED AT THE TIME OF SALES FROM THAT DEPOSIT WITHOUT ASKING CUSTOMER TO DO THIS AND DO THAT , GO TO COURT, WRITE REGISTERED LETTER ETC;ETC; more
Please issue a Regd post letter informing the difficulties faced by you. If no result is found, then after 15 days file a consumer court. more
The problem of prompt service to customer satisfaction seems to be rampant for most companies in India. The cause of the problem is as follows: 1. Every company outsources the customer service calls, and repair and or annual maintenance, to primarily cut cost. 2. The company does not take responsibility for the poor quality of service from the out sourced agents. 3. The company also effective blocks contacts of aggrieved customers directly to them. 4. Government is doing nothing to correct the problem. more
I faced same issue with sony Xperia z.. In india every company take you for granted as we don't sue them... maximum we shout at the executive and leave it saying we dont have time. This every company knows and they take indians for granted. more
Service is an integral part of sales. Many good products loose out due to bad service. I was planning to buy a skoda mid range car. My friends told me that though the car is excellent, service is really bad. So I bought a Honda and very happy. I don't think there is any law to to book unsatisfactory serice. But if the companies don't ensure hazzle free service, the sales dry up. We will use every such oppertunity to spread word of bad service as the product has a life beyond warranty period and accidents do occur. Agreed we are helpless, but will hit back more
