Welcome to Swachh Bharat Circle!

Dear Citizens:

LocalCircles in partnership with the Ministry of Urban Development is pleased to include you in the Swachh Bharat circle.

Based on the strong interest for Swachh Bharat/Clean India expressed in the poll conducted in the Governance Circle - Transform India with Modi, we have included you in this circle for ease of access. Just in case the circle is not of interest to you, you can log on to your LocalCircles account and leave it.

This circle brings together all citizens who want a Swachh Bharat/Clean India. Through this circle, citizens will be able to share cleanliness initiatives, challenges, successes at a National Level as well as learn about best practices from each other. Members will also be able to give collective inputs to Ministry of Urban Development on an ongoing basis.

Soon, members of this circle will have access to their local constituency circle on Swachh Bharat connecting them with fellow local residents and enabling them to organize/participate in clean up drives in their neighborhood/city. As soon as a local circle on Swachh Bharat for your constituency is ready, we will notify you.

Let us work with our Prime Minister and each other on this 5 year journey starting October 2nd, 2014 and make it a SWACHH BHARAT!

The move is an excellent exercise.Hope that relevent recommendations are picked up and sent to Urban development ministry to make it in to a law to be implimented by Municipal councils,or corporations. more

First of al the minds of the people has to be 'swaachh'. The backyard of my house at KOLKATA is used as a dumping vat by the people whom I am living with for last 40 years. I hope this amply shows why our motherland is not 'swaachh'.We always like to make noise about the disease not it's root cause. more
