Unscientific road laying ,lack of foot paths-why?

It was good to see that road laying is taking place in some areas ,but the laying is not scientific.
The gradient in which it was there before has to be maintained ,by scaping the damaged and old road ,then relayed it in the same gradient .
But the GHMC contractors have been laying over the old road thus increasing the height every time .As such in five to ten years the roads have gained a height up to about 1-3 feet .The absence of storm water drains has added to this , presently during rainy season whenthe rain is heavy the water is flowing on to the sides thus entering many shops and houses which are in lower area before new road laying.
There fore GHMC must take this factor in to consideration and help inprevention of flooding during heavy rains.
The lack of foot paths is leading to pedestrians using the edge of roads ,causing sprains, injuries, accidents as the traffic heavy areas are sparing none in the rush times.Old people ,sick people ,people with deformities are prone to accidents by two three and four wheelers Can’t the GHMC include the road laying and foot path building simultaneously in the same contract along with storm water drains beside the roads?.
We at Radhika theatre -Dammaiguda road which is a highway are scared to death by this apathy ,added to this roadsides are occupied by push carts ,wine shop parking and hotel parking and other vehicular parking .
The GHMC Kapra authorities must re-examine this policy and act . more

Earlier times, footpaths used to be available with storm water drains below footpaths. Storm water gathered from the road surface, which used to be below the footpath level, used to drain through gratings placed along the kerbs of footpaths. It was a foolproof system. Now the road levels have gone up above footpath levels, footpaths and the storm water drains under footpaths have vanished and the non-renewed portion of the road surface at lower level acts as side drains. Pedestrians have to walk through this water logged space. Vehicles are also parked in the same space. Very unfortunate. Hyderabad has lost its glory due to GHMC. more
Absolutely right. It is everywhere in Hyderabad, the roads are being laid in the same manner. GHMC, HMDA, Minister talks a lot but nothing on road work. Many a time the recarpeting leaving the full size of existing road, causing height variation at edges leading to accidents. The recarpeting process also faulty, as it allows rain water and any other water seep into, thus damaged. No one is serious about citizens plight and for their money, No accountability. more
Totally the whole govt. department officials, local leaders& contractor;all are a ring and hand in glove to eat away the taxes paid by public. They use inferior material, technology knowingly. Department procures latest machines as published in news papers and inaugurated by leaders. After wards you can't see them using any where eg. small damaged bitumen road repair machines, road cleaning, manhole clearing machines. They dig the roads to repair a small leaking pipeline/ drainage pipeline and leave it months together to repair and immediately the next day after completing the repair again the problem starts and it goes on for months. more
Your observation is correct .No answerability. more
The town planning department seems to exist only on paper. It seems to merely become another money making machine and nothing else. It is very unfortunate that the concerned ward Councillors/supervisory staff/ local MLA show no inclination what so ever to address the problem. Col (Dr)A P Gupta (Retd) more
Its the worst quality and bad planning. Roads are so uneven. Its may be good for 4 wheeler but for 2 wheeler's its so risky. more
