Parking problems in cities-one solution worth trying

Bangalore proposal to ban sale of four wheelers to those who cannot show specified owned or allotted parking with evidence.
In US cities like SFO we saw this being insisted.
Many new car owners will be put to inconvenience, but the urban authorities have a right.
Presently in Hyderabad and Secunderabad majority of cars are parked on home side footpaths ,even narrow lanes thus denying road users the space to move.
Some thing similar needs to be done Mr Minister! more

Hyderabad is greatest city in the world with regards traffic, Parking and Roads - Citizen are literally looted every where - it is a money spinning for Goondas, Politicians, Officers and Police. more
New announcement of having a Captain on each important train for sorting passenger problems is a welcome step. But to start with you need armed commados in all AC compartments in civil uniforms in vulnerable routes to face some encounters with robberies. This will set a good example of proactive role of Railways. You can withdraw after the incidents come down. more
Not only in Hyderabad but also in all urban areas. All roads n by-roads are filled with cars, food vending carts n bikes. Pity part is 90% of cars are taken out once in a week. Car is a status symbol so Govt should insist on parking place before buying a car. Even big shops, hotels n theatres are not showings sufficient parking place. After a decade manufacturing of cars must be banned. more
Approximately 60% of 2-wheelers can find place for parking in Hyderabad and 90% of Cars are parked on home side or home side footpaths. This has been the case in Hyderabad from years, but still RTA is issuing permits not only to cars, but also autos without any second thought when even half of the roads are occupied or idling by autos. If one entity of government which should responsibly act on its part and it has failed how can the other government agencies like the HTP can manage the traffic is the moot question. more
If we go to any public office for work or transaction like bank, office it is the individuals responsibility to park at allowed places. The citizen cannot claim immunity that he has work in that office.w3 have learn from other countries as to how to function with civility. I walked miles to park overseas with out parking place to transact a business in office.police must issue tickets of violation . more
