Below are the top 3 Government Priorities for 2015 based on your inputs. Please review and if you have additional thoughts, please respond to this post.

TOP 3 GOVERNMENT PRIORITIES FOR 2015

1) MAKE BUREAUCRACY DELIVER through aggressive and objective performance management, empowerment, transparency and accountability. All big promises/campaigns of 2014 need to show solid progress in 2015

2) ENSURE SAFETY OF WOMEN & CHILDREN - Stricter law enforcement, citizen oriented policing and expedited processing of such cases within legal system. Marked progress and reduction in these cases is a clear citizen demand for 2015

3) MASSIVE REDUCTION IN CORRUPTION - Drive the menace of corruption out of central and state Government systems and business through law enforcement, systems & citizen participation. India is waiting to see action on this for long and demands real progress in 2015. Freeing up of funds, opportunities, development that can happen by addressing this menace is huge.

Other priorities include:
4) Speedy and Transparent Judiciary
5) Large amount of investment and jobs
6) Cleanliness and Civic Sense
7) Value based teaching in Schools and Colleges
8) Tackling Communalism strictly

We will also conduct a poll on this subject to quantify things a bit.

Thanks for your participation!

Bureaucracy should be made accountable for the decisions they take, for the orders they issue, for the schemes they recommend the ministry to formulate. In our country bureaucracy throw the blame on politicians and the politicians in turn blame bureaucracy for the mistakes. Time specifications should be prescribed in Govt. offices for the work they do. Bio metric attendance (both morning & evening0 should be prescribed daily in all Government and Public Sector Undertaking offices, Boards under Govt. control, and offices that come either directly or indirectly under the control or funded by Government. PSU are treated as holiday resorts by many officials, to take the life easy, with out showing any results, or made as punishment areas. All offices should be made result oriented. more
First and foremost priority should me over all economic development including agricultural development for which responsive and responsible bureaucracy is a must. This will invite more investment and further help the economic development. Also this will increase supply side which will control commodity prices. More jobs will be created by complete economic development and improve purchase power of common man. Second priority should be the cleanliness drive which will purify the environment and improve the general health all citizens. Third priority should be eradication of corruption at all levels. This will help to improve the investment climate. Common man will also be benefited by removing corruption. more
Present system of income tax for retired persons needs change.People who worked in private sector where there is no provision of pension as in govt service. The income generated on amount saved by the private sector employees after paying tax during their service, becomes taxable at present. This category of people face difficulty after retirement to meet their lively hood in absence of pension ,medical facility etc more
There should be proper system to evaluate the performance of Govt employee. The present system of 100% job security for govt job should go.Why should the public money should be wasted for paying salary to govt employees ,for just putting their attendance and not doing any work more
Top most priority is improve agriculture industry. We have to dectate the terms on farmer to do farming, than we will give subsidy, also those who have got land those farmerse have to do farming under government authority to get more vegetable and grainse, which will reduce the price of the vegitable and we can export the same. For this I have got very good idea which we can implement to improve the same more
