SUCCEEDED IN MAKING MICROMAX REFUND COST OF TAB

I HAD PURCHASED A TAB FROM MICROMAX IN MAY 2014. IT NEVER FUNCTIONED. GAVE FOR REPAIR TO A LOCAL MICROMAX SERVICE CENTER, WHICH TOOK 2 MONTHS AND STILL COULD NOT MAKE IT FUNCTION. AGAIN=2ND TIME GAVE IT TO THE MICROMAX SERVICE CENTER. AGAIN NOTHING HAPPENED. FILED A COMPLAINT IN THE MYSORE DISTRICT CONSUMERS FORUM AND GOT AN ORDER FOR REFUND OF THE COST OF THE TAB + RUPEES 3000 COMPENSATION + COST RUPEES 2000. MICROMAX DID NOT HONOUR THE MYSORE DISTRICT CONSUMERS FORUM ORDER. FILED AN EXECUTION PETITION AND SUCCEEDED IN GETTING AN ATTACHMENT WARRANT AGAINST MICROMAX. FINALLY MICROMAX BUDGED AND HAS GIVEN ME A CHEQUE FOR RUPEES 19,390. I ARGUED THE CASE MYSELF. more

SWAMI'S THOUGHTS ON SUCCESS STORY OF A CONSUMER: Way to go Dr Sekhar Iyer! The Local Circles-Connected Consumers (LCCC) and public consumer bodies should use such success stories of consumers with conviction, determination, patience and perseverance as examples for others to follow. It is only through consumer education can the situation across the nation can improve! In fact, it is time for the Government to enact laws on a RETURN POLICY prevalent in many countries across the globe so that the consumers can rightfully return products that fail to function as promised by the manufacturers. Let LCCC re-stress the slogan CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT! more
