Stop Exploitation of Patients

Pharma companies offer even women to bribe docs: Study”- reported Times of India on 29 November, 2019. It was mentioned, on the basis of a study by SATHI, that hardly 10-20% doctors follow the MCI code of ethics, while the rest accept or even demand 'incentives' to prescribe products of a company. As a result patient safety is compromised by irrational prescriptions and rampant use of antibiotics!
These revelations are alarming and validate the concerns regarding unethical medical practices. Some of the suggestions made in this regard are given below:
 Health should get priority attention, not only in Government budget and policies but also in terms of ‘Patient Rights’, which need to be well displayed at every health facility and properly enforced.
 An effective regulatory mechanism for hospitals needs to be put in place. With more and more health care facilities being set up by the corporate world with profit being the major driving force, it is necessary to introduce a system of audit in such hospitals.
 It has to be ensured that hospitals and dispensaries are not only well staffed and equipped, but also well managed with compassion and care. There is need to build computerized systems of remote monitoring to deal with problems of absenteeism and inefficiency, plaguing our health institutions.

The need of an hr. is to give all possible supports to the Doctors, Nurses & Para Medical Staff's who are fighting with CORONA. Some Pvt. black ships are there to be dealt with BUT first and foremost is to take care and support above mentioned. Much severe then these doctors as mentioned, are the JAMAT and people like their leaders O.V.E.S. I who not only encouraging but also spreading the community differences Media should not report their views so to avoid unwarranted publicity. Just Kill the xxxxxxxx by neglecting more
Doctors do not follow the MCI code of ethics, and demand 'incentives' to prescribe products of an interested company. As a result irrational prescriptions and rampant use of antibiotics are done. The activities of Doctors and private medical practitioners are to be watched and remedial actions should be taken to control the irregularities. more
It appears that Pharma cos. not only manage Doctors but also the authorities that may be because no action has been taken to control the menace which is well known. more
As someone has said, that the society in which justice and education are corrupt, its effect spreads to all segments of the society. We are aware of the present standards and cleanliness of these two professions; so it is no surprise that the corruption has spread to all segments of the society, be it police, medical, administration etc. Some very drastic action only can save us. This will require temporarily withdrawing some freedoms given to the people. But then who will bell the cat ? more
The less said about ethics of doctors are better .They join not to service people but to exploit common ignorant people and make make in all forms or more as Mohit has pointed out more
