Awareness and functioning is very poor.To get a relief after getting the award is very poor.Police and others donot cooperate to arrest the opposite party .all work to defeat the purpose of the act enacted with good intentions more

The Consumer Protection Act 2019 has not been notified. The Rules under the Act have not yet been framed to bring the Act into force. more

And, many consumer activists do not yet understand the CPA 2019 nor the implementation authorities in the States have understood this. Also, the GoI does not want consumer protection to be an affair of the governance. The entire consumer protection process and procedure is a waste of time. The consumer activists should now be working to strengthen the CCPCs with power for nomination and management of CWF withdrawn from the political leadership by amending the CPA /2019. more
