Self Reliance in Technology & Security
If we divert funds from construction of statues , Mandir , masjid , stup , church , auditoriums to Technology development , exploration of scientist , innovators from within the Country , making competitive environment , creating competition for inventions , I believe that we will be self reliant in case of Technology & security . We will not require to request for Technology from other countries . Only self reliance is the way towards Being Superior Nation . At least , there should not be dependency in case of Security .
Dependent can not lead and be respected by others . We have to find our resources and make our self able to lead in technology . We are not still planned and speculative in case of development . We have to think and rethink for issues and solve them our self without help of others .

I agree with the views of Mr. Mahesh Patle. We spend so much on such these activities. Are we capable of spending such huge amounts and at whose cost? These are all politically motivated ideas and we, common men/tax payers are the only sufferers. Research and technology development has never been our focus. I do not think these Mandir Masjid (M-M) expenses amount to much. R&D expenditure required is huge, some 100 times that of the M-M expenses, and manufacturing investments are some 1000 times that of M-M. But once such expenses are incurred, employment & monetary benefits are 10,000 times, and last for some 10 years. The bottleneck is that most industrialists are investment shy (read stingy), pick up land provided by Govt (free or cut rates), then sit on it for years, hoping for a foreign investor (target: retire with a fat profit). The few who invested decades back, like Tatas & Ambanis (to name a few) have reaped the benefits, the other types are in sell out mode. more

TrulyGovernment's 50% of the total assests are misused & wasted in appeasing the minorities, nuisance mongers & paying for the follies of the Government employees in the form of accidents & also due to promises made to the public at the time of election. These statues, Sanskrutik Bhavans, Religious places for allthe communities are just the wrong obligations which Government meets without any use. If this money is used for educating the poor people & increasing the scope os Research & Development, all types of technologies & helping people to introduce modern things useful for day to day life, upliftment of the downtroddens is another way to utilise money properly. more
