Reliance Digital - Most Unresponsive Organization

I purchased an LG Washing Machine from Reliance Digital (Ambience Mall, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi) on 16 October 2014 and was offered a Reconnect Steam Iron.

When I tried to use the iron, I noticed that it was sticking to the clothes indicating something wrong with the coating. It was brought to the notice of the Consumer Desk in the showroom and the iron deposited for rectification. With no communication from their side, I contacted them after about one month. No action had been taken so far, and to come out of the embarrassing situation, I was given a replacement.

The story repeated itself and I approached them again. I was advised to go to their service centre to get it attended to fast. I informed that neither it was convenient nor I was in a tearing hurry. So, the iron was again deposited with the showroom. After rigorous follow-up, the iron was sent to my residence after a clever tinkering with the thermostat knob. Even at the highest setting, it would be only “slightly warm” thus reducing the sticking problem. It was sent back.

I waited for a couple of months and then approached their showroom. Even after making calls to their service centre, they could not trace it and promised to get back to me in a day’s time. Received a call after four days to confirm my residential address. It was followed by three more calls only to check the address before the iron was sent to me “as it was.” I sent it back.

Again, two months passed. No further follow-up from my side… No communication from their side. I put the complaint on www.ConsumerComplaints.in and someone from the company was kind enough to advise me to provide my contact details through their website. I did. And once again, no further communication, even though more than a month has passed since then.

Is it the level of quality and service that will make them what they claim “…to become a preferred brand that is easy on the consumers’ minds….?” more

Reliance digital is only one outlet. Once they sell there responsibility is over. For any service you have take the help of the service centre of the product, you have purchased. more
The way it looks like - What the grand old man of ' consumerism ' in India Sri Dhirubai Ambani established the Reliance brand, has been totally spoiled by his sons/successors. The elder one, Mukesh has been kind enough to keep some of the prestige of the Reliance Brand but the younger one, Anil - has been a Total Washout. He should be given " Total Credit " for bringing the prestige of 'Reliance Brand " from Everest level to Gutter level..!!.. All of Anil's industrial ventures have been a total failiure and he has single handedly "killed" many a crores of average Indian's hard earned money. RCom had started Mobile and Satellite TV in a big way but after an initial flash, it is slowly dying out and it is a question of time, when this unit would also have to be bailed out by the elder brother Mukesh. Big Tv has a small presence in Tamil Nadu and has been doing fairly well but of late, the " Anil Virus " seems to have caught on and it is also showing signs of sagging down. Hope the forthcoming " Reliance Jio " of Mukesh does a better job when it launches its operations in the coming months...!!...since the Reliance Digital Super Market of Mukesh seems to keep forgetting that " it is the Consumer - who decides the ultimate winner " ..!!.. more
Reliance is the most inefficient organization. I too have a very bad experience. I was using reliance communication CDMA. Their outlet sold HTC mobile for 12500/ and in one week it got spoiled. I gave it to the same outlet for repair. But the store has neither repaired nor returned my hand set. I lost Rs12500/ and several complaints were sent to their customer care and Appellate authority. But no result. At last I have changed the service provider under Number Portability. I bought a new phone samsung. Please be careful before dealing with reliance group more
