Raid on Coca Cola - violations of mrp

The coca cola company is clearly violating rules of mrp in a nexus with restaurants.

Attached is an example of a diet coke can where it says MRP at the bottom. When you go to the bottom of the can - its no information. Got 3 cans all without the information.

So basic coke strategy - dont publish price on can so restaurant can charge whatever they want.

MRP officials need to go to various stock locations of coke from where it supplies to restaurants/hotels etc. more

It is the weakness of public and negligence of enforcement authorities to allow such things in the market. Please bear in your mind that you have to raise your voice through the remedies provided through various laws as all expectations have been drained. The best solution is to form small groups to fight against unfair trade practices so that hefty fines can be imposed through consumer forum. JAGO GRAHAK JAGO. more
Soft drinks are not good for health and are highly recommended to avoid consumption. These drinks are highly responsible for obesity and accumulation of fats in the body. So, better to avoid it. If at all its essential for you while dining in a restaurant, get prepared to pay more, as it would not be fair to expect that they will make it available to you at the same price it is available in the company's outlet or kirana shops or at road side vendors. Once you have decided to enjoy the drink in comfort, you must be prepared to spend a little more for it. more
I was very much aware about the point of discussion while making my comments. Let's now talk about the price only. How much we are paying for a cup of tea or coffee or a bottle of packaged water in Air Ports as well as in mid-sized hotels? In Delhi Air Port a cup of coffee or tea costs more than 5 times of its usual price outside. The prices of water bottle and eatables are also exorbitantly high. Similar is the case with the price of parking as well. But we seldom talk about these facts. Is it because there are no predetermined MRPs affixed in these cases? Knowingly or unknowingly, we are paying different prices at different places for the same/similar products all over the country. more
the point of discussion is not health but the price. There can not be dual price on same/similar product even at hotel/restaurant/ Malls/Airport. more
Lack of proper control over the market by the government, is the root cause of all problems. more
It might be the case that restaurant people erased information provided by the manufacturer. The manner in which providing information of MRP referred is not in the case of coca cola only but almost all consumer product are printed information in this way. So because of the manner of providing information only manufacturer cannot be doubted. I am not supporter or Coca Cola or similar company, I just want to say that the in majority of branded consumer goods retailer did not earn reasonable amount on sale of product, but he forced to sale product because of demand from consumer and retailer to earn more that legally allowed, take illegal ways. Even many place on demanding drink in cold, shop keeper demanded more than MRP and consumer instead of refusing payment for more than MRP, easily pay the amount demanded by shopkeeper. If consumer regularly raise voice for unfair demand from any person (irrespective of fact that despite raising voice payment is made for more than MRP), in subsequent period such shopkeeper definitely change the manner of dealing with customers. more
It falls under cheating under IPC as well as UNFAIR TRADE PRACTICES under consumer Act more
Coca Cola, Pepsi, Colgate and almost all MNC products including medicines are meant to harm people, cattle and land all over the world. This is is as per the New World Order Agenda of the Rothschild group operating from USA. They even control all USA and Canada, and murdered good presidents like Lincoln and Kennedy who opposed them. They forced GATT and WTO on the whole world to crush each country's economy and control the world. Our then PM, Narsimha Rao was "forced" to sign these treaties in 1994. Do you REALLY know what it means? We must ban these criminal companies and their products and buy ONLY swadeshi products. This movement was initiated by the great patriot Lokmanya Tilak and forced the British to cancel Vang Bhang. All our traditional ways of living ARE proven correct. Hence what Shri Ramdeo Baba has started is VERY GOOD AND CORRECT. We must encourage that movement and save our country from these evil groups. Our Governments are their slaves, irrespective of which political party forms it. more
