Ecommerce companies non compliant

Many of these food apps are not disclosing best before dates properly. A notice from legal metrology must go to Grofers on this issue. They just say 21 days but dont tell me I will get this. I received 13 days old product so essentially shelf life of 9 days. This is LM violation and unfair trade practice more

You're free to ask for a refund - please state the reason as insufficient shelf life and then escalate the issue if they don't respond appropriately .... I don't think the Govt is required to legislate / regulate each an every element of our lives when we ourselves are not interested in exercising our rights. more
Ms Sarika Bansal should have made a complaint for delayed delivery to the supplier, if possible with a proof. Usually e-commerce companies accept complaints and do the needful. more
Please do not buy anything from Grofers. Please find out where do they keep the hens that gives the eggs. You may go there and wait for the hen to her job. So it will be fresh and sparkling. And consume on the same day. So no problem. more
Good systems are not there in most e-commerce sites particularly wrt perishable goods with short shelf life. Avoid sites with poor systems if you experience such problems more
If the BB period of a product is 21 days and you get it through ecommerce, how can you expect to get the entire period of the shelf life! For that you should get the product from the local market ensuring that you are purchasing it on the same date of it's manufacturing/packaging. more
