Price Vs Quantity of Products

Dear Learned Reader,
Wishing everyone a very happy & prosperous New Year 2021.

I wish to bring to your kind notice that after the breakout of Covid19 most of the manufacturer of edible goods did was the price of the product remained constant but the quantity of the product was reduced. Such minor changes are never noticed by the consumer. Consumer is more happy at least things are available at the printed price. One of the product was Aloo Bhujiya (400gms pack) from Haldiram and Powdered Jaggery (700gms can) from Dhampur. There could be many products unlike this type bungling. Took up the issue with the Organization but NO reply. Government is least bothered about such an issues as they many others important work to be carried in near future.

Dear Readers......please take up such matter on war footing basis and we should collectively take this matter with the Appropriate Authorities or the Media is the last resort. more

It is really important that the Consumers affairs Ministry along with weights and measures Department should take action against manufacturers. more
I agree with Mr. Gupta. We should not be buying anything from Haldiram as I have been cheated by them. more
Dear Sri Bhatnagar, Though your grievance may be genuine, it can't be a cognizable complaint because, it can't be substantiated. However, certification agencies in the concerned industrial area can do sample checks and I hope they will do it. Regarding many other complaints that may have followed your resource, if substantial, they could take them up with proper evidence. more
This concepts does not end here. If you go to purchase Dental Cream, detergent powder, shampoo and many similar products, they may be competitively priced, but the pack contains various net contents, and it will be difficult to compare the price by contents. Sometime back Govt had published a notification that every pack net contents should be 100gm, 200gm, 500gm, 1kg, 2Kg, 5Kg, 10ml, 20ml, 50ml, 100ml, 200ml, 500ml, 1L, 2L, 5L etc. But somehow because of business lobby pressure, Govt. is remaining silent. Hope consumer affairs department & weights / measure dept will take care of customer concern. more
One should stop purchasing from Haldiram , Dhampur and such companies who are making fool of consumers. more
Wit due regards can you specify any producer, industrialist, manufacturer even service provider ' who is not making fool of common man'. more
