Polluted Cities

It is not correct to say that we are not doing 'ENOUGH'. We are doing 'MORE THAN ENOUGH'.
We allow all sorts of CORRUPTION and one of the outcomes is that India is so POLLUTED, not only Cities, but also, land, rivers, lakes and even underground water etc..
People join Departments which are supposed to take ACTION against not only POLLUTERS but also, those indulging in other kinds of Malpractices. But their aim is one and only one: "TO MAKE MONEY" by way of Graft and Corruption.
All such people are becoming Millionaires in few years of their 'SERVICE'.
So, we are doing enough to climb the "WEALTH CHART".
Am I wrong? more

We can't generalize the situation related to pollution control in every city of India. Government is working on the priorities. The priorities were to clean the rivers first so design and construct Sewage treatment plants and contain sewage which was discharged in the river is a big challenge for any government in such a short span of 3 yrs. because this river passes through 5 states. If we take example of River Ganges it was heavily polluted but current government has done wonderful work by restricting 14 - 15 crore L discharge of Sisamau drain (biggest & longest drain in Kanpur) to fall into Ganges River is really a miracle. My company is fully involved in Namami Gange Program hence I know the ground reality so please don't connect the good efforts done by government in controlling the water pollution. Simply criticizing the government without knowing the facts is not correct. more
Good Job Ms. Tomar, I understand your argument, the current government has done a great deal of work. I don't want to bring politics on this platform, but we, citizens have a great deal of responsibilities in addressing these issues in some form. Good luck with your work. Also, we cannot sideline the politics. more
Dear ASRARUL,you are absolutely correct. We copy the Western cultures, wear what they wear, dig in their movies but sadly do not copy their honesty and truthfulness ..so sad and disappointing. The corruption has entered the blood of the Indians who make money at commoners' expense. We do not see any chance of any change in the near future. With regards .BN DAS ,KOLKATA more
