What is the best way to deposit money and make it grow with low risk reasonable return so in 15 years it can be utilized for kids education independent of the parent/guardian.

Thanks in advance more

Great! Thanks a ton Mr. Vijay! more
Not necessary. I have made the portfolio risk agnostic. When Dlf goes up, itc will remain static etc. more
Thanks a lot Sir! Would you also help allocating %age to each of these funds.. ITC-30%, DLF-15% and so on? This will help determine how much to invest.

One of the Group who knows me well called up and asked me why I omitted IT.. Well I had to choose just 5 and had to draw teh line. If I had to choose a sixth it will be a close match between TCS and Infosys. I prefer TCS.. more
Sorry for responding late. If you want to build a "Fit and Forget" portfolio of 5 stocks with a 5 year time span, I would suggest ITC, ICICI Bank, Maruti, L&T and DLF. Hope this is usefu. Assuming inflation at 6% aveage for the next 5 years and 10 yesar Bond yields at 7%, this portfolio should give you an annualised return on 15%.. more
