Plain printed packet without mandatory declarations
In this diwali festival, I wanted makhana and reached out to a local grocery store, who is quite famous and offers almost all brands. I asked for makhana and he handed me over a 100 GM, pre-packed packet (pics enclosed).
I always check MRP & mfg date before buying any food item. Now I wondered that this pkt was not having any such details. I asked the shopkeeper, who says these are fresh and you don't need to worry about the quality. On his assurance I purchased it. I am posting here for the knowledge of department that how seriously regulations are followed by small time manufacturers.
Hope someone take note and get hold of this particular manufacturer and packer. more

I agree and endorse the comments above. There seems to be a lax attitude of the agencies concerned with these issues. The Ministry should be informed and action sought. more

Also each packaged item must contain a customer care no. so that before involving authorities a call can be made to that no. and an opportunity be given to the manufacturer to remove the anomaly. more

It mentions FSSAI registration Number but does not mention expiry date and MRP. Though these are different Bodies and controlling authorities, Integration between different authorities is the need of the hour. more

It is appreciable that consumer has become aware to see all statutory information. Department may or may not take action due to their strong nexus between Officials and FBOs. You must file complaint in Consumer Court with all detail mentioned and missing on the pack. When there is no manufacturing date, it is considered as EXPIRED and can be pose acute health Problems.
