Packers and movers miscommunication and harassment
I had a car booking with Agrawal Relocations Packers and Movers of my hatchback car from Mumbai to Jammu.
I negotiation on quote of 16500/- to 12500/- all inclusive and they picked car on 21 June with fuel of 1000/-. After chasing them for bill and builty for 3 days, on 24th June I received a bill of 25230/-. I called them and requested to send the car back or I’ll complaint in police but received unexpected reply that car is in transit so cannot bring back, not to call them now and shockingly the guy told me to go for police complaint, he will handle that. But as i was helpless because my car was with them, so i decided to not go to police rather keep requesting them to get me my car to destination. Later they gave me seniors number to negotiate but thw number is either not responding or switched off even till now.
I begged the same person that the amount is way beyond my budget then he said 18000/- last, which was again too high but i was helpless.
I choosed this company in misconceptions of agrawal packers and movers.
After all my requests and multiple calls, mails and whatsap for my hard earned car, on 17th July i received drivers number that my car is in pathankot and he can deliver at Lakhanpur check post (because the container is going to ladak from some outside route) with additional charges of 2000/- (1500/- for delivery + 500/- his old due towards agrawal relocations packers and movers). Which i agreed and paid him at time of delivery at checkpoint. After complete one month on 20th July, i finally received delivery of my car at checkpost.
Additional cost hit to me of 3500/- ( 1500/- car on rent to reach checkpost from jammu + 1000/- refuel because the tank was empty). The car received is in so bad condition, they drove my car 565kms without my consent, car belongings/accesories are missing, the parts are displaced, silencor is damaged, found bottles of colddrinks and liquor, sugarcane leafs, empty food containers, match boxes etc.
I want to complaint not only for myself but to save others from such harassment.
This type of miscommunication and misbehaviour is highly disturbing and threatening.
It is clearly a cheating and misguidance to client because they first picked my car and after taking it in their custody they started blackmailing the client.
I was so helpless that if ever i'll have my car back or not.
Not only this, now the repairing of the damages and missing items will not only cost me less then 30-35000/- but also that entire month has been so disturbing and mental harassment that i was sleepless for this 1month. more

I also have the some bitter experience. I took the contact no. of the transporter, Globe Transport having Delhi address from Just Dial for transportation of my Household goods from NOIDA to Hazaribag, Jharkhand. I am lucky that I got my household goods with a delay of few days. But I was not given Insurance receipt, though charged. On inquiring regarding their address, I could not found their address. Just dial NOIDA office also did not helped me in this regards. more

You would find too many movers with the name Agarwal movers & Packers ( with some twist in their spelling) , who get identified with their website . I too had most harrowing and frustrating experience with one of them Agarwalpackers DRS GROUP having website www.agarwalpackers.in and corporate office at Secunderabad. Unfortunately I utilized their services for packing and moving of my household goods from New Delhi to Pune , which (may be purposely) were delivered late at night at Pune . On requesting the delivery people to open the cases, they said that as it is late night , I may open same next day ( though contractually these were supposed to be opened by them) and was told if there are any breakages , I can inform their office . Next day on opening the casesmy most of crockery , imported crystal ware was found damaged , due to poor packing material ( on some of cases contents was mentioned as clothes , while on opening it contained crockery etc) . I informed them the next day and also sent photos of of all breakages , but not only they refused and didnot respond to my mails and calls. They had also taken Rs 3500 extra for insuring the goods , but neither they gave me insurance policy , nor entertained my claim . Even my registered letter sent to their CMD Shri Dayanand Agarwal was not acknowledged or responded. IT WAS SAD EXPERIENCE more

If what you have stated is the truth,and nothing but the truth please send me the following details as as per attached list.1.Car Reg:number,Make Model year,Model Name and colour.The copy of the insurance policy and assessed value,Validity of the insurance, The date you negotiated with the "transporter" their business card. The estimate or quotation along with T&C.Proposed date of shipping and actual date they collected the car. The Odometer reading at the time of handing over to the transporter. Copy of the affidavit you gave to the transporter authorising them to transport the car from your Mumbai to location to desired location in Jammu. The bank statement of the payment from your account to the transporters account and when the debit took place. Tracking the consignment and its print out. Your written instructions to transporter to return the car back to place the of shipment. Records of all payment done to the transporter. Photograph of the interior and boot space photograph at the time of despatch and at the time of arrival. Did the transporter promised to drive the car to the destination or send it in a closed container truck.What was the reason you decided this particular transporter? What was the transit time promised by the transporter. Did you ask for all check post,toll plaza receipts? The distance between Bandra West to Jammu is 1948km and should not take more than 35 hrs,via NH-48 and passes through Gujarat,Rajasthan,Delhi,Haryana,Chandigarh, HP. Most of the toll plaza's have CCTV. Incase the car was transported in a truck or container,it should have All India Permit and can be traced from the truck owners association.Did you visit the transporters office anytime and give the address. If you can not furnish these details with in a week, I shall consider that you are not interested as there may be some illegal or suspicious action. Professional cheats are there in each and every field. Consider yourself lucky if you do not fall prey to such cheaters. These cheaters are being protected by the people and laws who are virtually suppose to provide protection to the common man. be careful while dealing with service provider even if you have to pay little more. more

This type of incident also happened to me for transporting my Son's Car to Delhi. Many transport companies give false assurance and ditch us. It is recommended to go for reputed IBA approved transport companies, even if they charge little more. more
