Online Shopping Unfair Business Practices.

As Online Shopping is becoming increasingly more utilized by the general public there needs to be very thorough scrutiny of their business practices.

Take Amazon.in which probably hold the largest slice of the online shopping pie...

1. They never display the MRP of any product. I have found that many times the products they have listed as discounted are grossly larger than the MRP.

For example and Australian product called Vegemite has a MRP of 530 rupees on a local shop in Pune yet at Amazon they list it at 700 rupees and claim the price is 725 rupees and we save 25 rupees which is 3%

2. Another problem is how they are selling bulk items at a higher rate than single items...

For example Pantajali Ghee is sold by them at 510 rupees a liter is offered at 555 rupees a liter if you purchase in bulk???

The standard business practice is to offer bulk purchases at a lesser rate.

3. They offer refunds on returned products yet not all refunds are refunded.

For example we are still waiting on many refunds that we have returned their products and they have received them and have informed us that they have refunded the money and to check with our bank if it has not been displayed as a credit.

And it hasn't.

As the transaction traffic on our accounts increase so does the ability of locating their lack of payment decrease.

As our country is rapidly moving into the online market the Government must crack down on these unfair business practices or there will be a nightmare of a mess.

A mess where the consumer again looses. more
