Even NDA government is finding it to define agriculture land - if a farmer is willing to sell land closer to city limits then it may not be classified as agricultural land. That is how mega cities have formed. In any case, very few NRIs would like to be away from good infrastructure centres, as they would not be able to adjust to rural area life styles in India. more
What is the legal definition of the agricultural land for this purpose? For eg dry land not used for agricultural for setting years??? more
Only investments in agriculture lands are prohibited; that is why major Indian property Realtors hold regular Indian property exhibitions in Singapore, Dubai, Oman, Sydney, San Francisco etc more
No restrictions on investments. Only on repatriation of profits if the land is sold subsequently for gain. more
