OCI & old currency notes
Just found out today that I am unable to change my old Rupee currency as a OCI card holder. Only NRI are allowed to do this and i thought I was same as a NRI.
In future will have to think seriously about investing any money as we're being treated as second class citizens in Mr Modi government. This money I have is not black money it was earned by hard work. Live & learn as the saying goes. I will not be investing so I'm out. more

Hahahaha..... Now that money is of no use even to any charity organisations or NGO. This should have been done before 31st December. more

Thanks Santokh for the suggestion I would gladly donate to a charity do you have one in mind who would take this money. more

No Mayur ji, I think it was just a misunderstanding on your part or other OCI's. It is like someone wants to have a cake and eat it too as he wishes. Every one wants to make money from both hands where ever possible. more

Now we "OCIs" are put in our place as the banks have a pile of cash. India wants the cake and eat it & classify us on need basis. We are told - "Oh NRI & OCI ,same same, but sorry the law differs?". Finally - like Mohinder Singh says, we lost confidence in India as no difference Pre Namo. more
