2) I taken a ULIP policy for my Children in Max life insurance but its performance is not good. I thought of surrendering the policy so that I will get Rs.1,00,000 now. Do not look upon insurance as savings. Use mutual funds for long term savings and beware of agents who are sellers and not independent advisors more
Best to ask a qualified advisor who is not a seller or agent of the funds. Someone like moneylife foundation would be best more
Mr Vijayakumar You will be always clued to computers. Better to allot some time for finance and personal life. It is better to understand the financial planning. If totally depends on others is not good. I understood this in the long run. Insurance and mutual funds are different. You have to choose the fund if you are investing in the ULIPs. Do not surrender the policy. Better you switch the fund option to large cap funds. Better wait for 7 to 10 years. I am suggesting this based on my own experience and as an advisor in insurance more
Yes they are two different funds.. Axis ELSS is a closed fund where the lock in period is for 3 years and Axis Equity is an open ended fund more
