MRP label of pre GST products

*What will be the price printed in the product packages (MRP) now post GST?
*Shops are adding GST with products printed with pre GST MRP?
*Where and how to get redressal in such cases?
*Why Govt is keeping mum in advising sellers as well as customers that pre GST MRP need not be taxed again.? more

The issue has been discussed at large since introduction of GST. There is no point in continuing discussion on the same issue again & again. more  
It is very clear that MRP is "Maximum Retail Price" which means nothing is payable beyond this amount for any reason or on any account. It is an all inclusive price. We should confront if someone is charging GST on MRP, get a bill and bring it to the notice of GST Council. more  
GST Council will remain silent as council is not redressal forum as they have to fix the rates only. The local GST department and Legal Metrology department are actually enforcing authority. more  
How to communicate to the coucil?Have you faced such? Please inform what have you done in such case. more  
Govt should stop continuously tinkering with rates or other factors at the drop of a hat. Govt should realize that such fiddling just leads to sellers exploiting this and overcharging the customer. This has already been seen in bank home loan rates, they should do their homework & before unleashing chaos on citizens. more  
GST is implemented without any application of mind. Government has been changing the GST rates - every now and then and this gives scope to change the MRP. more  
MRP is a big joke. Many malls are offering 50% to 90% discount on this printed MRP. On what price, the buyers (end users) will be taxed against GST? The government is not at all clarifying the doubts. To avoid confusion earlier, the previous government came with the MRP to give indication to the customers the cost of the product being bought. Now the government is giving free hands to merchants to make extra money. He more  
MRP is included with APPLICABLE TAX & GST is nothing but a TAX only. It has also seen that Shopkeepers are deducting GST from MRP & then adding in the bill. So long it is followed, no issue, but many shop keepers are adding GST on MRP is totally wrong & amount goes in their pocket only. Govt to issue a strong verdict on it... more
