MRP Fraud

This posting of Harsimran Kaur has provided me an opportunity of informing and giving feedback to FSSAI that I have been getting supplies of 20Ltr water bottles with printed MRP of Rs.70.00 till, and adding Rs.10/- per bottle for delivery, October 2019 end. But since November 1 the vendor has raised the rate to Rs.90 without printing of MRP. This is the situation in Kishangarh, New Del;hi-110070.

Now, I wonder whether the printed label pasted on the bottle, without any MRP is genuine or the water bottle is counterfeit. May be, even the water filled in the bottle is from some home not treated by BIsleri. May I request the GoI in theDepartment of Consumer Affairs to please take it up with the Bisleri people to just investigate the fact. I have photos of the bottle with printed label without MRP and could start collecting more if FSSAI and DoCA needs.

A line in response of the action taken shall be appreciated. more

This is the position of unbranded Mineral waters. In all likely hood, purity and standard of water with minerals can not be guaranteed. Why consumers go for such Unbranded water? "Bisleri " is the branded BSI marked water .In Mumbai it carries an MRP of Rs. 80. Pl. pay Rs. 10 extra but always go for Branded water which will be accountable for quality and standard more
Any body can print anything in the name of MRP. It seems no control. In case of Generic medicine the MRP printed is about Rs 150 but selling price is rs 12 for 10 tablets. The purpose of prnting MRP is missing . If they are sold at Rs 12 why MRP Rs 150 Printed. Asked many, but none replied either right or wrong. I failed to find rule/ Law of MRP. more
We, as a nation, till date have failed to define the law/rule on MRP, its follow up, and implementation across the board. Any everybody is taking the advantage of the confusion. more
Let me ask to raise your wisdom. Why do we run after the Water Mafia's. Is there any assurance that their water is safe and secure to drink. Just getting an ISI mark is very simple now-a-days, one should have money only to get anything even WHO stamp. We have to change the policy of dependence. Why do not we use an water filter in our homes and if required an RO also. We always look for convenience without using our body and our wisdom that is why these types of exploitations are increasing. more
There are variety of water bottles in the name of BIsleri (with jumbling of alphabates). Neither the BIsleri company nor the MRP enforcement authorities are worried or aware about this. Unless there is a complaint, no one is worried. more
