Most effective ways to keep blood pressure normal
For someone who is 60+ and prone to high bp, what are the proven ways of maintaining normal bp without medication? Please share.

Most importantly stress management- the most difficult task of modern world. Limit your expectations, try to be happy with what you get (difficult) and don't start thinking of whole world's problems and it's solution. Low fat food- So called ideas of no cholesterol Ghee/ Coconut oil etc are just rubbish. A healthy aged individual needs only 8 gms of total fatty acid per day including it's content in food (like good oil seeds, sesame, mastered. nuts etc added in food) Alcohol/tobacco is strictly no-no. Walk 2 kms minimum/day with pace (not slow walk with mobile talking). Avoid taking vehicle to market etc unless more than 2km or carrying heavy items. Yoga etc are also helpful for stress management. High BP is also hereditary, in which case it's more difficult to control. more
Life style changes can give wonderful results in all ailments. Also pl follow the advice of learned friend Sh Chandan Pal. Yog and pranayam can work wonders in health cure. Patanjali "Muktawati" can be taken to get faster results. Lot of people suffering from low and high BP have become normal. You can follow suit. more
