Mobile phone missing during transit.
I bought a Samsung Galaxy m40 phone from amazon. I received display broken phone by amazon. As per their replacement policy i self returned that phone with earphone, charger inside box to amazon through India post with tracking number is EF278833736IN. As per amazon they only received the box without mobile phone. Now amazon denied to replace or refund me. So please suggest me what should I do? more
Dear Mr. Anonymous, you appear to be sadly mistaken about the return process of Amazon. It appears that you yourself sent the defective mobile to Amazon. As per Amazon procedure, the customer had to make online the request for return/replacement of items purchased on Amazon and Amazon gets collected the item physically at its cost. After item reaches Amazon, they send relaxed item or refund, as the case may be. If you sent the item yourself and it didn't reach Amazon, I am afraid, there is hardly, which can be done. I fail understand why you want to be anonymous for such an issue. more
First of all you have to locate the whereabouts of the phone along with its attachments you had returned. The question of replacement or refund will arise only when it is proved that the products were received by Amazon. There was no necessity to remain anonymous in this case. You don't want to disclose your identity but desire to get your issues resolved by the circle members! more
Why are you posting as an anonymous member? and why have you not shared any of your purchase details, like invoice copy and photo of the broken phone ? You would have definitely shared the same with Amazon when lodging a complaint. more
As far as broken display is concerned file a complaint to Amazon with proof immediately, only then equity will come to your rescue. If they have replied fine otherwise as all the material dispatched by Amazon are insured they will be able to replace, even otherwise they are responsible for the bad packing. The onus on you is to prove that the display was broken when recd itself and you have not broken. Think how you will do this and as per per procedure whether such a thing is feasible. If unable to prove tell Amazon to deliver the material, open and show to the customer and then only acceptance to be given. more
The main issue in this case not replacement but not receipt of the returned article by Amazon. The question of replacement arises only when they get back the product they had supplied. more
I see that online purchase is risky fo high value items like AC/Home appliances etc., based on the complaints posted in my circle. Secondly customer gets empty packets without the ordered products. Not every body take a video while opening the box. Even if it is taken the consumer court procedure is time consuming. If this cost is more than the cost of the product it is worthless. more
