Many 5 star hotel violating MRP rules
I last 2-3 months I have observed in Delhi and NCR area alone that many 5 star hotels have water bottles with low mrp and they charge 100-200 rupees plus service charge gst etc on top.
Why there is no action by Delhi authorities? Is the situation same in rest of India? more

5* hotel visitors are well capable to bear the cost of the water bottles they charge. Why only water bottles? How much you pay for a cup of tea or coffee? If a cup of tea or coffee can cost 20 or 30 times of its cost in other hotels, the price they are charging for a water bottle is cheaper and one should be complacent with this fact. more

Ms. Tara the circle members are trying hard to get a solution . If there are / is some record to assist the solution will be easy . So try and get a receipt / bill so that some action can be taken. There have been so many instances reported with attached proof , that is receipt / invoice . Because no action can be taken without that . As it is the Tax authorities know just as you and me that this is happening . more

They cannot charge more than MRP mentioned on the bottles if that is the case complaint has to be lodged with Weights, Measures And MRP Enforcement more

Coffee how much do they charge,plate full of white rice how much.A cup of curd,a papad. These also are not propriety items.[1]Apart....[a]The out source their canteen,servicing[b]laundry and maintenance[c]lawns and swimming pools and gyms.[d]they also out source the supply of furniture and maintenance-they all pay them /or they pay them.If front office,bill desk and booking are also out sourced nothing they have except monthly income. more
