Love and ego

Once there was an island, where all the (Feelings) lived together.
One day there was a storm in the sea and the island was about to drown.
Every Feeling were scared,
but (Love) made a boat to escape.
All the feelings jumped in the boat except for One feeling.
(Love) got down to see who it was...
It was (Ego...)
(Love) tried & tried,
but (Ego...) didn't move..
Everyone asked (Love) to leave (Ego...) & come in the boat,
but (Love) was meant to "LOVE...."
It remained with (Ego...)
All other feelings were left alive,
but (Love) died because of (Ego...) more

An ETERNAL TRUTH and well said. It is such a pleasure to read and spread as well. Congratulations to all those who are spending time to spread such thoughts. I pray to GOD to give us all humans "such nice thinking - above all implementation". Having said that, how many of us humans can ever "freeze" our egos... That inspires me to share my grand mother's preaching about "ajgar Prahlad samwad". It is: On the outskirts of a certain village, there lived an ajgar (Python), which was gulping all people that came across and villagers were terrified to go out of the village for any reason whatsoever. Once there came Prahlad (the saint) to the village and all the villagers moaned and complained about the snake and to suggest a solution. Prahlad went to see the Python, which bowed, saluted and paid respects to the saint. Saint blessed it and advised it not to do heneous acts and to let the villagers pass by. Python readily agreed and never raised thereafter. Initially all villagers were skeptical but once they gained confidence that Python was not harming, they started moving freely. It did not end there, they started throwing stones and beating with sticks and all. Snake was heavily wounded and as it did not have feed was on the verge of collapse and then came the saint again. Saint when saw the Python, pitied and enquired the reason for such a situation, and Python explained all events. Saint replied - I only advised you not to do heneous crime or acts, but never advised not to hiss and scare people to keep them away! Moral of the story: have pride, ego, arrogance and all only and only to the extent to protect "yourself". Problem with all of us mortals is all these overtake us, and so heavily glued that all these start consuming us!! Thanks to all of you to read this out. more
