LIC POLICY ADDRESS CHANGE

LIC being a very big insurance company, why not they look into the possibility of making the changes in the existing policies, like change in address, name change, bank details etc. ONLINE. When one is able to create a login and the policies are uploaded in the login, why not they allow the user to change the details also online. In view of the current COVID 19
situation, unnecessarily visiting the branch giving the hardcopy
of the documents etc. will be a risky procedure both for the Staff their and to the customer. Nowadays everything is being done online with zero/min branch visits. more

Let GOI note it and make LIC to update the online system accordingly. National Manager of Circle may take up the issue. more

Most of the members has shiwn negative impression based on your experience. Now you must know that your money is safe in Govt. treasury. Well, now let us see how LIC employees behave in rude manner. Employees working for years together with vast experience never get promotion and it is always bias. (it can be proved). So under such circumstances , people sitting as heads, pressurise the experienced employees for completing the job. After the interview for promotion, it is a farce of interview. The list will be declared after suspicious time. Why they write interview remarks in pencil? There are number of interviewing members,not fully aware of the job as senior position person, but they are expecting all answer from the candidate. One of our journalist friend questioned such person , the same question which they asked to the candidates. No wonder they failed. Tried to fool the journalist, but journalist was smart , he studied the topics well in advance. In a good faith he did not released this story. So actual working members are very lees and influentials are more. And hence it affects the performance of the company. We are now on this task to improve the system. Also note that there are perfectly matured and hardwoking, knowledgeable managers also in LIC. more  
Some 35+ years ago, LIC had two tables, #3 & #5, where policy holder will make all the payments towards the premia, but will NEVER get anything back. All the proceeds will be given to the nominee after the death of the policy holder. Now with the clause added, it is done, PROVIDED THE POLICY IS LINKED TO AADHAR. When all the money has been received by LIC long back, why bother about linking the policy with aadhar? Let the policy holder go to hell. The amount is going to be safe with the govt for sure, even after not only the death of the poliy holder, but also that of the nominee, and shall continue to remain safe, till LIC finaly gets closed due to some scam. more  
Some peoples have aberration about any public sector, be it Bank or LIC. But, I can assure you that once you are in the trap of private sector Bank or Insurance Companies, you will realise the difference. Now coming back to LIC, most of the senior staffs including Branch Managers are fossil-ed staff, who just got familiar with computer through in-house training's. I being a hard core IT professional, I use LIC website without any problem, though there are scope for further development of the website to make it more user friendly. I can re-call that few months back, when IRCTC brought a new version, many so-called senior citizens raised their voice to retain the old one, without realising that the new version was brought-in for making it more passenger friendly. It is true that most of LIC staffs including officers & BM behave rudely to policy holders, but most of us don't submit written complaint to senior officials in writing or by email. Unless feedback is received at the correct office, no improvement can come. Thus writing in Local Circles will not help, unless it is routed correctly to appropriate authority. more  
It is not which is good and which is bad.... a bad experience of those advertising "Why go elsewhere" only in relation to collecting money for premia, MUST make them ashamed that they cannot even reply emails or speed post letters. My problem was linking policies with aadhar... there is absoutely no problem with private players, where through online, I could link every policy with aadhar very easily many months ago. LIC does not find my policy number which was displayed at their own website BY THEM some 5-6 years ago. Utterly shameless. more  
Archaic LIC services provide customers the answer to their marketing slogan "Why go anywhere else"! more
