In legal Metrology act 2009 and legal Metrology Rule 2011 only action can taken on the package or pre packed commodity if retailers is overcharged.on mrp? more

It is high time now that the concerned department take stern action against the company and inflict heavy financial penalty on it, which is engaged in such malpractices since couple of years snatching crores of rupees from its consumers. more

Amod ji , nowhere in the advertisement you see the 40% off or additional 20% off on MRP. So the Trader can't be Trapped on this . WE THE CONSUMERS SHOULDN'T BE GREEDY TO ASSUME IT IS ON M.R.P. When there is discount and bargain offered we have the right to reduce the GST also in the price ,but let him pay it . The margin is so high that thye offer buy one take 2 and so on . more

please understand gst is a statutory payment to be made to the govt. it cannot be discounted unless retailer specifically mentions it and is ready to pay it from own pocket rather than charging it to the customer. the retailer gives you a proper bill mentioning the gst number which makes it difficult for the retailer to steal any GST. the ad never mentions that the discount is on MRP. Also it gives you a number where you can ask about the offer before making the purchase decision. Legal metrology department cannot force a retailer to offer discount on GST and also they shall take no action against this ad. more
