Inputs Requested - How to clean your Workplace

Dear Members of Swachh Bharat Circle:

With this post we would like to invite YOUR suggestions on "How to clean your workplace"

Many of you may be working in Private/Government offices, may have factories, shops or running a service business.
Please share specific suggestions that can be easily implemented by members individually or collectively with colleagues.

Our objective is to come up with a ready list that we can all implement where we work and as a result have cleaner workplaces. A cleaner workplace and its surroundings will not only contribute to a Cleaner India, it will also make you feel better and positively impact productivity.

Kindly respond to this post by providing your inputs as a comment. We will compile the inputs and publish the top inputs for everyone to put into action.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Besides the individuals and whole staff who are working to imbibe civic habits like prevention of littering, encourage shredding by machines, proper usage of rest rooms ( toilets ),a contract based janitor should be employed to keep the place clean ,hygienic . Water abundance is essential for all offices to keep, the premises clean. All cleaning activity must finish one hour before the starting of work including dusting of office. All hospitals must be ready to start by 7 am ie the janitor or cleaning contractor must work between 5 am to 7 am to enable the hospitals to work . All western ,gulf. Far East countries follow this ,why not in state and central offices ? more

the lack of civic sense is the most vital aspect in an unclean society. The basic civic sense should be taught to children in schools at least from the 3rd standard. from std 5, the children should be having a social activity in cleaning the schools premises, the surroundings, etc. They will learn as well inculcate the same among their friends and parents a neighbours, apart from their homes. Over a period of few years, 'SWACHH BHARAT' would have happened throughout the country. These can be used for improving other facilities. REtired people can also contribute their time and energy for changing the place, municipality, taluka, district, etc. There should be public awareness. more
Ask TCS, Infosys, Novartis, etc. to prepare a list how they maintain cleanliness at workplace. Take the most important ones from the list and teach every employee. The government and bureaucrats cannot do it. They have to learn how to clean their acts themselves, however, they can help enforce the chosen practices. Without the expert training from the companies with the best records, arbitrary advice and practices have no value. Yes, we can advise something, because we all love to give advice and feel good about it, but it is all imaginary. more
