Illegal bank charges.

I have also faced same predicament as many shop owner don't accept digital payments because of the bank charges which is nothing but plain daylight robbery. Government must stop this practice by various banks. more

May be whatever I am saying here is said easier then done! It is very much possible that the trader is avoiding digital transactions as all such transactions are recorded and adds up to his total business for taxation purposes also. May be some of them are using Bank charges as a guise to escape from every sale being recorded. If a couple Customers walk away to another Shop or even postpone purchase for a later date, Traders will realise his tricks are not working anymore. And accept digital payments next time. After all, Bank charges are very nominal and Traders may not like to loose business on this account. Resistance will have to come from us. I guess there is lot of awakening happening and it is only a question of time. more
I don’t think it will work. If I buy for 1000rs and have to pay 2 or 3% , I would want to pay cash and save Rs. 30 . Same goes for GST where the savings will be higher if I opt not to get a receipt. Recently my friend saved 700 in sari shop. Merchants openly encourage this even when the customer is not aware of it and would pay the tax. more
all transactions should be no levy on the same to merchant or the user only then it can be popularized znd stop the flow of blackmoney more
I agree. But the govt. and the banks wont do it. You can not blame the banks because they have to charge for the service rendered. Govt ahould reimburse them at a fixed percentage. There should be no charge on debit cards as the money is immly. transferred from your account as opposed to credit card. The customers benefit from credit card use ant therefore they shoukd pay.
Credit card is issued only for the credit worthy, majority whomuse Debit card should not be levied any fee both to customer and vendors.
I do agree cashless transaction will be a benefit to all. more
If Govt wants to encourage cashless transaction then they should ask banks not to levy any fee when people use their cards.More cashless transaction means Govt has to print less currency and printing currency costs money. more
more
Then we need to take care ourselves. more
