How to stop Tikona harassments?

I used tikona broadband for a year and requested termination but they didn't terminate connection for a month until I called back upon seeing the bill generated for termination requested month. Now they are asking me to pay the bill for that month which I didnt use. I tried reaching out to their customer care through E-mail and through mobile but none they are replying and harassing with the calls stating legal representatives. I checked with many people, they are facing similar issues, how can we stop this malpractice of the service providers? Are there any govt authorities whom with I can escalate this issue?.

Please share your valuable suggestions. more

Please save the connection termination request No. These so called legal representatives are only recovery agent. just block there call. I have the 5 complaint No that their connection is not working, in each complaint i requested to terminate the connection. when I saw the bill and called the CC they said i need to give a separate request for termination. I said go to hell. in case anything legal came I will show case the 5 complaint No as the broadband was not working. they really have the worst service. I have now a cable internet from a local vendor which is working excellant. more
I too have a similar issue with MTS. End Jan 2014, under a scheme, I got their net pack(pendrive) for Rs.1200/-- with free net download for three months, i.e., from 01/02/2014 to 30/04/2014 with a specific condition that before the expiry of the three month period I can always get the connection converted from Post Paid to PREPAID by giving a letter at one of its retail outlets. Accordingly on 26/04/2014, I had gone to the same outlet (from where I purchased the connection) & duly submitted a letter there requesting for conversion to a prepaid one with effect from 01/05/2014 and also paid Rs.250/- to the the Company's representative towards recharging the net pack. The very next day, I received a confirmation of my request for conversion from post paid to PREPAID specifically mentioning my request number. I have not used the pen drive (net pack after 30/04/2014 & I was surprised to receive a bill for Rs.538.00 in May 2014. Immediately I wrote back to the Company the details of the scheme & also the request given by me & the receipt of a confirmation of the request received. However, the Company has consistently ignored my reply and continues to issue threatening calls & SMSs regularly even now threatening legal action completely giving a deaf ear to my letter to them and not replied to my letter till date but continue to send threatening SMS saying that they initiate legal action for the recovery of dues. The following points are pertinent to note : 01. I had given my request for conversion to PREPAID basis on 26/04/014 (much before the last date i.e., 30th April, 2014) and not at all used the pack after 30th April, 2014 besides paying a sum of Rs.250.00 for recharging the pack. The Company has NOT sent any reply till date. 02. When I have NOT used the pack after 30/04/2014, there is no question of generating a bill for Rs.538.00 as is claimed by the Company ignoring my replies. 03. What has happened to the amount of Rs.250.00 paid to the Company's representative for recharging. The Company pretends to be unaware & silent whereas I have clearly mentioned in my mail that I had paid a sum of Rs.250.00 for recharging. 04. While delivering my request letter, the Company representative DID not seek return of the pen drive but the Company is demanding it from me now. 04. Initially in the year 2014 from June to Dec 2014, so many calls used to be received by me claiming to be from the Company seeking payment of the bill, which I am not required to pay as I had not used the same after 30/04/2014. There is no reply from the Company for the poits raised by me. 05. People claiming from Delhi Consumer Court keep calling me to seek payment of the bill as otherwise they will be filing a case against me in the Court. 06. I have received legal notices from someone claiming to be advocates from Chennai where their addresses have been dwarfed & unable to be read by a normal eye which prompts me to suspect them. 07. As I am continuing to receive SMSs I am afraid the Company will file a case in a Court & threaten me to pay the so called due which is not there. It is clearly the Company's in having generated the bil & for NOT having returned to me Rs.250.00 paid by me for recharging the net pack. 08. Further, there has been no reply or response till today either from the Cellular Operators Association of India or THe TRAI to whom I had endorsed copies of my letter. more
Sir, Better to make it public and may use media for taking up the matter with the company like Live TV and other channels. more
I had similar problem with Tikona. Their speed is 1/8th of what they promise. Vodafon was writing on its bills that International Roaming needs written request. On my visit to Dubai, I had not given any request but they opened the roaming and in 2 hours I got an SMS ( or a call, I dont remember ) to pay up INR 23,000/= . !!?? Instead of replying to our complaint, they send fresh notices and threats to " send Mr.Khan to to collect payment." Look at Call Drops !!?? What a robbery ? For call drops, you have to blame NGOs ( who have lot of time and no business, except to collect funds from abroad to disrupt Indian Businesses ). They declared that Powerful towers cause Cancer, and forced Govt to reduce tower power. This is causing call drops. There is no well conducted data to prove that tower causes Cancer. more
To be in the safe side, please issue them a Regd. Notice informing to disconnect the boardband connection on receipt of the notice. more
