most on line sellers indulge in it and they blame it on the seller , they should have a mechanism on the listing page where mrp should be mentioned and discount if any should be mentioned , they should also verify if the correct mrp is listed before the product becomes active , selling above mrp rarely occurs in brick and mortar stores . the weights and measures dept should focus more on online sellers rather than on traders because this is where the volume of business has shifted , it is very simple higher the price more the earnings of the portal by the way of fees , they are more than happy to ignore the mrp violations more

You can make complaint to Ministry of consumer affairs at National Helpline but do not expect any action as they are supporters of traders rather than consumers for the reason every Indian knows more
