Good governance
The dice are set .Elections are impending.
The governments who vouch by people are going through the age old pretense of looking at people's needs and trying their best to alleviate the grievances.
But what is good governance? When the basic needs of ordinary citizens are neglected ,when the hard paid taxes are used for projects which have no priority, when people are burdened with unwanted debt, when corruption is eating in to the system ,when money is squandered on grandiose schemes ,then the chance arises for people to decide whether to continue to vote the ruling government or not for another term.
The emancipated citizenry has changed its thinking and the beneficiaries of free doles are also aware that money ,liquor, sops are only temporary honey traps to get one more tenure of governance.
The funds of departments are diverted to other schemes and unwanted half finished projects are standing as a mute reminder to the non priority schemes started by governments.
The rising prices , inaction by civic authorities In providing drinking water ,good permanent roads ,clean air and effcient non corrupt governance and showcasing the high tech projects, industries, schemes has made citizens to ponder over whether it is worth to exercise it right to vote as no one party is standing by good governance.
Let God save the country and the people! more
