GHMC flush with funds -priorities
Thanks to demonitisationonitisation ,many municipalities all over India have been able to collect their taxes from defaulters and others on a voluntary basis with out punitive measures.
Meanwhile non availability of smaller denomination is causing day to day difficulty for the people to transact.
But the Government must take initiative to pull up the GHMC and its bosses and remind them that they must take citizens needs as priority on a war footing and not offer lame excuses .
Most needed are pulverized roads in the whole city irrespective of the area,Foot paths,Parking deficiencies,Foot Over Bridges,Garbage disposal,shifting of dumping yards from inhabited areas,identify polluting areas and remedial measures,desilting drains,construction of bunds for tanks,drinking water needs,stormdrains,emergency equipment for rescue.
Next category is the shortage of animal catching teams,Caracas clearance teams,food inspection and raids on eateries,Modernisation of garbage collection by providing protective gear to handlers.
Lastly curb corruption ,open some mobile dispensaries for the common people .
The will to refurbish the declining image of rusted GHMC and reorganize the whole organizational structure for effective functioning . A reputed management firm can be consulted to usher new ideas and new blood in to the organisation. more

More money more Corruption and contractors if not exposed the money gets wasted. Jobs should be done with better scrutiny. The name of the contractor should be exhibited at areas where they are working for any bad execution they should be exposed. Expose the bad work. Then and make public meeting call citizens and expose the work carried out by contractor. Once such exposure should debar the contractor for SIX months, If he repeats the same next time he shall be punished for two years. There after he shall be barred for ever after third mistake. EXPOSE EXPOSE THE CORRUPT is the mantra. more

In today's speech ,Still they are talking about giving priority to building two bed room houses from GHMC funds .But they will not talk about other needs like roads etc more

There is every possibility that the State Govt. (Read C.M.) will not allow the funds to remain with GHMC but transfer it for meeting its acute financial position.We in Hyderabad would be happy and lucky if the normal revenue accrued and already collected by GHMC does not get pocketed by dishonest and corrupt elements who are in plenty. more
