Friends,let us take time out from the ongoing discussion on only FSSAI . There are other consumer products which drains mone from our pokets day in and day out.
The Batteries that we buy of various brands from the market , right for radio, lectronic audio-video system, laptop, mobile phones, HEARING AIDS, CHARCHABLE HAND PHONE SET etc;etc;etc.
I distinctly remember when the pencil cells and later butoncells later on ,were introduced in the market way back during THE Japan Expo , it used to say this cells will ast for 400 hours operations and nowin the name of pencil cells or the AA. AAA size batteries last hardly even 100 hrs. and the cost have we ever calculated ? How much we spend on this per year?
AND NO SUCH MNUFACTURERS OF BATTERIES EVER GIVE ANY WARRANTY ON ANY SUCH ITEMS, THOUGH THE DATE OF MANUFACTURING IS PRINTED ON EACH CELL AT THE BOTTOM.
The hinese cells are sold at Rupees five per unit and the indian made cells cost from Rs. 10 to 40 depending on the brand.
Have we ever bothered for this?
we all know without battery how habdcapped we become while travelling, in out door, indoor any where.
The mobile phone manufacturers never owns any responsibility to supply original batteries and all such items are sold by so many accessories seller and that too duplicate or china made, why?
Even one leading brand of mobile phone company once replied to me that the keypad is a cosmetic items so doesn't cover under warranty. can any one say without keypad how one can use the phone.
With every new brand of mobile phone they supply new socket for charging, so you can never use your old battery charger? wy can't they have universal charger for any brand of mobile phone?
Do we ever bothered for that or raised voice ?
I can understand many of our readers will have different view point on the subject but they also murmur at times when they are under the siotuation like explained above.

These types of rackets, scams, fooling around, cheating, manipulation - whatever you call it under the Sun - are rampant only in 3rd world , corrupt, under developed countries like India. The Govt here will NEVER, repeat, NEVER do anything to solve such issues. If you force the Govt tooooo much then it will come up with some new tax in the next budget in the name of solving these issues. more

Not only batteries and spare parts, the life of entire mobile handset is getting reduced.... with 4G & 3G apps. intentionally or unintentionally so many apps. get opened, reducing the life of the set.... The software is developed in such a way, that the customer/ user will be compelled to purchase new sets quite often (say around 2 years) - cost for a good quality set AT THE MINIMUM shall be Rs. 5000/=... This amount many not be within the capacity of 'common man'..... Perhaps it is very difficult to repair 'electronic' equipments/sets..... Let us pray this time would also pass... more

As mentioned earlier in my post, I was not the best person to comment on the same ....however the battery which was recalled was due to it being designed to meet the customers desire to give customers the ability charge fast and at times compromising on quality leading to such incidents. more
