This is a common practice that is going on in the market by the manufacturers. Let legal metrology controller to look into the matter. more

Hello everybody. There is a single legal word for this: caveat emptor: meaning let the buyer beware. If you think that you have been cheated by anybody, don't buy that product from the e-commerce portal when you can buy at the nearest kirana store. Factually and legally speaking, the e commerce vendor AND the stores, all of them included, are merely putting in place saying they they may, they may, sell at that price. In other words, YOU are the offer maker when you enter it and start shopping ! Thus you are making the offer, and, he is the person who may or may not accept it. This is the Contract Act. When you are haggling about the price, even then, the privy of the offer and counteroffer, ultimately ends with the selling of the goods to you, or the shop keeper may not sell to you. Of course there are regulations in place, and they are being removed from time to time, because today you have the luxury of buying goods which were in short supply before, and therefore you have larger range of stores .. you can retaliate by boycotting the store, eCommerce sites or physical shops. You have huge range of retail chains and other dealers thanks to liberation of the Indian economy. Otherwise, you and I would be waiting for months or years for buying a scooter just as Bajaj Scooters had a huge waiting list under the licence raj. Note also that there cannot be a duty alone on Government. Tell me how government is run ? It consists of people like us only. And the beauty of today is that there is a great shortage of senior and junior staff. And why should you always want Government ? For other things, you say allthe government people are useless, and we are paying their salaries, how can they do this thing to me ?There are consumer courts under the laws which are meant for precisely these purposes. do read this right again, before you throw bricks on me. more
