Fraud by Great holiday club

I am writing you to inform about the fraudulent activities done by Great Holiday club, Saket, Delhi. On 3rd of February, Mr. Raman Thakur, an executive of the company sold me a plan of holiday package worth Rs. 60000. All the commitments and service offers made by him was denied by the company one by one afterwards. To mention a few
1. They promised me a complimentary trip to Goa (3 N/D, including airfare both side, a night at cruise). Initially they denied the service, but my complain they agreed to it.
2. They promised that they have tie up with only 4 star, 5 star properties except Taj, ITC. But, except few, none of their property seems to be of that standard.
3. They promised services like airport drop, pick up, sight seeing facilities etc. which are now denied by the their headquarter in Goa.
4. They told me you will have to pay the maintenance charge at the end of each year and now they are asking for the charge at the very first service.
5. I was told that they had properties in around 4000 destinations around the world but actually they have properties in only 16 destinations (15 India, 1 thailand). They have tie up with other service provider for other destinations and they charge extra for services at those destinations (DAE charges) which I came to know after approximately 1 month of joining.
6. DAE charges was introduced to me as an extra charge which I had to pay in case I would exhaust 6N/7D quota and seek further services in any year or take services in destinations beyond the claimed 4000 destinations.
7. When I tried to go through terms and condition, they cheated me by saying that the terms and condition is not for the customers joining in offer period. This is valid for the general time membership.
8. I was promised to get all season service which was later denied by the company.

Above mentioned are some of the points. After I came to know about the wrong service commitment, I complained about Mr. Thakur and requested to terminate my membership as I no longer wanted to continue with them. I have been continuously trying for last two months and they are eluding my request. Almost everyday, I call them and they reply that they are thinking and discussing over it. They also claim that they have fired Mr. Thakur and Mr. Risabh Jain over this issue.

Now, they are denying to refund the amount and saying that it was my fault that I signed the terms and condition without reading it. Has the company authorized to make fool out of illiterate people? Mr. Rajat Gupta (another executive) is saying that the company is not a fraud but I am the one who is fraud. He shouted and challenged me to do whatever I could do.

I am writing this to just alert the other consumers. more

Please note "all promises are to be broken". more
Caveat emptor is a universal practise. One should read the fine print if there is one or getting a written commitment before paying. Fly by night operators hustle gullible buyers through some free food and spiffy presentations. Guess there is slim chance of your recovering amount paid. more
