Filling gas in AC

I called Voltas AC person (thru their call centre) for servicing/cleaning my AC. Fellow washed etc the units and said Gas has partially leaked. It need refilling. I said "No way, it is new AC, only 2 yrs by Voltas, how can gas leak? I will write to Voltas as to what type of AC they make". The fellow cooled down and said ok, ok. If you dont want, I will not refill gas. He left. AC running fine.
Gas filling is a huge scam. How can gas leak partially? If there is any leakage in pipe, full gas will leak. Not part.
Take any gas filling person in confidence. He will admit that gas filling is his need and not AC units need. Later on I checked with several of my friends. Same story. So dont gets fleeced by such AC technicians. more

Maybe a faulty valve that leaks some gas in summer heat. Your car tyre does it needing top up every month or 300km run. See pressure gauge reading before and after fill. more
I purchased 900 ml pack of liquid hand wash (Sach Brand) from Big Bazar yesterday assuming that the product would be quality product as it is endorsed by Mr. Sachin Tendulkar. When I emptied this packet into small bottles I could hardly fill up one bottle of 250 ml, one more of 225 ml, and the third with only 100 ml as by that time the pack of 900 ml just finished. Which means the pack contained only 550 ml of the liquid soap and not 900 ml as the print label mentioned. This is clear cut cheating by the Big Bazar and the Future Consumer Enterprise Ltd, Mumbai, the marketers of this brand. I shall be sending formal complaint to the Future Consumer Enterprise Ltd. If the AC is giving good cooling as per standard, then no requirement of gas filling. If not, then gas filling may be required. more
Thanks. This happened with me also. Technician tell me to fill gas whether it is my room ac or car ac. I always refused more
Good information. Gas leak cannot be partial, it will be totally exhausted. You have taken good decision. more
