Expiry date in bills of food products
The MP government for a change is making a consumer friendly move and will make it mandatory for traders, malls and sellers of food products to mention manufacturing and expiry date on bills or receipts against the purchase.
Can the same thing be implemented across all of India as many of the stores are actually retail chains and have common systems across India.
And the same should be done for medicines also.

Many a shopkeepers are keeping expired stocks in their shelves and this is most dangerous.Agencies must look in to it and punish the culprits. more

Its question of practice to check the packing like we always check medicine packets/strips before paying. In case of only dates are in the invoice without any other identification, the retailer can say I have delivered different package than what you are complaining. more

THIS MAY BE POSSIBLE FOR PACKAGED PRODUCTS,BUT THEY ALREADY HAVE THIS INFORMATION ON PACKAGE.FOOD PRODUCTS SOLD IN LOOSE CONDITION CAN NOT V BE ASCERTAINED FOR SUCH INFORMATION.I HAVE STILL TO COME ACROSS EXPIRY DATE FOR EGGS,WHICH ARE SOLD LOOSE. more
