E- Commerce Frauds

Hi all caution, all the offers made in the e-commerce sites will not be available. It has become a regular practice for ASKMEBAZAR.COM SITE to cheat its customers regularly. 3 months back I ordered for supply of two wheeler Battery offered by the merchant at heavy discount but it was not delivered by the e-commerce site Askmebazar stating that they had an issue with the vendor simply informed their sorry over that to as a reply to my grievance in their site for non delivery.

But same thing once again happened in the same e-commerce site Askmebazar. The message received from them is below pasted for the benefit of all. Government should come forward with suitable legislation to control and monitor their unfair trade practices and public cheating.

RAGHONADH DUTT P, it was nice of you to give details on non delivery; we avoid buying from the ecommerce facilitator. more
online purchasing is always seems to 2nd quality material pl check before purchasing , go for its configuration as well its detailed information , for air condition the pic shows 3 star and in details lit. it says 5 star. check before going to purchase, check warranty, exchange facility, and seller's rating, cod, etc. more
I disagree with the view point of our honourable PM, who believes in the honesty of all citizen. That is why he also says minimum government and maximum governance. For the same reason he is not creating effective regulatory authorities separately for each type of business to regulate and control them in public interest. So, today we do not have a regulatory mechanism for e-commerce. All customers are at the whims and fancies of the e-commerce operators and their grievances are not attended to. In view of this, until the situation changes, we need to depend on brick and mortar stores, verify all functions of the purchased product, verify warranty and service and then only make the payment. more
Most of the e-trading companies ignore their responsibility towards their customers. Their website works very efficiently while getting orders from customers. The same website becomes unfriendly and unresponsive to the users when the customer wishes to lodge a complaint against the defects or trying to return the goods. Their customer service are difficult to reach. Even if you reach them the procedures are lengthy and stringent. We have worst experience with Naptol and Shopclue. My wife once purchased something from Naptol and returned them after she found the article defective. They didn't refund instead issued some discount vouchers to be used for next purchase. Later they dishonor their own vouchers on the ground that their validity lapsed. On repeated followups they validated them but again dishonoring. Similar thing happened with Shopclue, with whom I purchased an article that was found defective. They never responded to my mail sent to their CS. We don't have time to go to the consumer court for such petty issues but certainly would like consumers throughout India to be aware of and try to boycott buying with such companies till they come to their senses. more
