One cannot read the small print. But, to make a fair remark, could it be that ONE piece is priced at 5k and a set of THREE for 12.5k ? It might be worth checking...... more

How is MRP fixed? Is there a fixed procedure? I do not know. Unless this is very clear, it is no use talking about looting through MRP. I have seen MRP on crackers - the final retailer gives even at 70% discount!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more

Many times, particularly on imported items, the importer fixes an MRP. i don't think that there is an upper limit on fixing MRP more

Mrp is fixed by manufacturer taking into account all the expenditure from raw material to transportation, delivery upto the hands of customer, profit of all handling,sale etc is included in mrp more

As soon as lockdown was announced, the cost of real material and labor shot up manifold. Maybe that is the reason for the price differentials. That was the case for surgical masks and for N95 masks. more

Shame on Indian Retailers, and no thanks to the Government of India and the State Governments under capitalist regime for such a tremendous open loot. It will be neither rewarding nor awarding affair if the Secretary-Consumer Affairs in GoI could put the named looters on the anvil and punished. Appreciate we all will, participating in this discussion. more
