Dematerialisation Problems

Are All problems for dematerialization extremely simple and investors are fools, not to understand the procedures…. NO.

Are All problems for dematerialization of Physical shares related only to signatories NOT being available…… NO.

Are All problems going to be solved by extending the last date for dematerialization (indefinitely)….. NO.

Is SEBI in a position to Understand those UNCOMMON Problems, due to which the investors have been following up with the Companies or their RTAs (Registrar & Transfer Agents) for a decade or even much more, but are helpless due to SEBI’s attitude of refusing to understand various problems….. YES.

Well… that is the real problem.

If really SEBI wants to solve these problems, SEBI should open up a special investor grievance help centre, where the Companies and RTAs are playing Devil’s roll.

To start with, SEBI can get related details on emails and then if required, call the investor in person to examine documentary proof to ensure that Companies & RTAs are harassing the investor to make him/her lose the holdings. In such a case, SEBI must decide in advance, a Penalty for such Companies and RTAs, which I very much doubt SEBI would even consider.

But then… SEBI cares a damn for common investor (specially the senior citizens) and wants to work on the surface, without trying to find the major problems hidden deep within. What kind of ignorant Mindset.

Signature not tallying is the basic excuse even when the person himself is there. more
I sent 100 shares of crown tours for dematerialisation. Shares were returned back by the registrar M/s Link Intime, with the remarks that the signatures of the shareholders are unavailable in the records of the company and asked me to submit large no. of documents like duly notarised affidavit, bank certificate etc, which w ould cost more than the value of shares. Is it the way, small shareholders are treated by the registrar. Where is my fault, if the company donot keep proper records, but the registrar wants to penalise me .will SEBI or other authorities will listen? more
